Profile of the founder

 

The founder of this agency, Nick Nishida, pursued his career in public relations profession at two leading public relations firms in New York City for 15 years. He joined the then GCI (Grey Com International) New York in 1988, and served as an executive vice president. In January 1992 he came back to Japan to start up GCI SunPub. Mr. Nishida successfully coordinated and supervised public relations programs for a number of the agency’s multinational clients.

He is equally at home abroad and in Japan, and has an excellent understanding of the cultures, societies and markets of foreign countries. He is extensively experienced as a professional communications consultant and practitioner in a variety of industries. Understanding the mindset of non-Japanese and Japanese senior management of international operations, he can map out practical and results-oriented communications plans and strategies that should be carefully tailored to fit into communications essentials, which are sometimes peculiar to Japan.

He earned academic degrees from a university in Japan as well as one in New York City as a Fulbright scholar.
